Job Summary
An Eye Hospital is recruiting a skilled Optical Assistant/Optician to join its eye care team. The successful candidate will conduct refraction, dispense and fit eyewear, and support patients in achieving optimal visual correction in a professional, patient-centered setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform refraction to determine patients’ visual acuity and prescription needs.
• Conduct pre-examination tests, including visual acuity and basic eye screening.
• Advise patients on suitable lenses, frames, and eyewear options.
• Fit, adjust, and dispense spectacles and contact lenses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prescription documentation.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Certificate or Diploma in Optical Dispensing.
• Valid professional license or registration.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in refraction is required.
Skills and Competencies
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: GHS 3,000 basic plus other benefits.
