Position : Planning Manager – Accra
The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing planning activities to ensure the efficient use of resources and the timely achievement of organizational objectives. The role involves analyzing demand, capacity, resources, schedules, and performance data to develop effective plans that support operational efficiency, cost control, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic, operational, and resource plans in line with organizational objectives.
- Prepare and manage short-, medium-, and long-term plans and schedules.
- Analyze demand forecasts, capacity requirements, and resource availability to support effective planning.
- Monitor the execution of plans and identify potential risks, delays, or resource constraints.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure planning activities are aligned with operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain planning systems, processes, and performance standards.
- Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular planning and performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Ensure plans comply with company policies, budgets, and applicable regulations.
- Manage and develop the planning team, including setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Support senior management with data analysis, forecasts, and recommendations for decision-making.
- Develop contingency plans to address changes in demand, operational disruptions, or other business risks.
- Monitor planning costs and contribute to budget preparation and cost-control initiatives.
- Maintain accurate planning records, schedules, forecasts, and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in planning, project management, supply chain, or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a planning, operations, supply chain, project management, or similar role.
- Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in planning, forecasting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Proficiency in planning and data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel and relevant ERP or planning systems.
