Position : Security Officer/Guard – Qatar
We’re recruiting Security Officers/Guards.
The Security Officer/Guard is responsible for ensuring the physical safety, operational security, and protection of airport infrastructure, passengers, staff, and assets at Hamad International Airport. The role involves enforcing strict compliance with international aviation security standards (ICAO, IATA) and national Qatari regulations, monitoring security devices, conducting patrols, managing access control, and responding effectively to incidents.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Airport & Terminal Operations
- Perform routine mobile and foot patrols across landside, airside, perimeter, and passenger terminal buildings to deter, detect, and report security breaches, theft, or vandalism.
- Ensure smooth operation of transfer security checkpoints, access control gates, and Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) processes.
- Inspect luggage, cargo, and vehicles following local regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Surveillance & Incident Response
- Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm management systems within the Airport Security Operations Centre (ASOC).
- Respond immediately to security alarms, operational accidents, suspicious packages, or unauthorised access attempts.
- Initiate emergency protocols and assist in cordons or escorting emergency services during airport disruptions or major threats.
3. Compliance & Loss Prevention
- Maintain strict compliance with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), ICAO Annex 17, and IATA aviation security standards.
- Supervise and monitor third-party contracted security staff, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and post-deployment standards are maintained.
- Enforce drug/alcohol testing protocols and conduct authorised right-of-search procedures when required.
4. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with local law enforcement agencies, Ministry of Interior (MOI), customs, and immigration authorities on security matters.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, shift logs, and security audit documentation in a timely manner.

Key Requirements and Qualifications :
Education and Certification :
- Education: High School Diploma or Vocational Qualification with 3–4 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Criminology, or a related field with 2–3 years of experience.
- Certifications (Preferred): Basic First Aid, Firefighting Awareness, ICAO/IATA Security Certification, or AVSEC training.
Experience and Skills :
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in aviation security, military, police force, or high-security commercial environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CCTV networks, VMS systems, baggage screening technology, and radio communication devices.
- Language: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk long distances across terminals, and work in shift rotations (day/night) under varying weather conditions.
