Purpose
The CERT Director holds overall accountability for the policy, strategy, operations, budget, and external representation of the CERT. This role is the senior decision-maker and primary point of contact for constituents.
Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the CERT mandate, mission statement, and multi-year strategic roadmap in alignment with national/organisational cybersecurity policy and strategy.
• Represent the CERT key stakeholder meetings.
• Provide overall accountability for incident response during incidents with the sector.
• Manage the annual budget, resource allocation, and procurement approvals.
• Establish and maintain cooperation agreements (MOUs) with relevant partners.
• Approve the publication of security advisories, threat reports, and public communications.
• Chair the Steering Board reporting process and present KPIs, incident trends, and capability assessments quarterly.
• Lead hiring decisions for all senior and specialist roles.
• Ensure compliance with national cybersecurity legislation and directives.
• Drive continuous improvement through maturity assessments (SIM3, ENISA Maturity Framework).
• Oversee all day-to-day operations across incident handling, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and technical services
• Manage performance of all technical team leads and provide regular feedback and development planning
