Position : Operations Support Manager – Accra
A reputable company in Accra is looking for an Operations Support Manager to join it’s team. The position is responsible for the management and oversight of all operational aspects of the organisation. This has a special focus on the operational control of the retail business

Responsibilities :
- Partner with the Branch managers to develop solutions for business related issues and opportunities.
- Verify the execution of merchandising initiatives
- Validate pricing accuracy and promotional activities
- Ensure effective expense control, and Profit/Loss management
- Undertake investigations into losses within branches. This may involve the formal interviewing of branch staff.
- Play a vital role in shaping the culture and approach of the workforce
- Partner with HR to recruit and hire branch staff
- Support store level staffing decisions and retention
- Verify and participate in training, development and coaching of branch staff
- Work closely with the HR office to ensure all shifts are covered with the appropriate trained personnel: Provide/schedule the appropriate number of personnel to cover branch and dispatch operations on a daily basis, 24/7, 365 days per year (to include weekends and holidays).
- Build and maintain an effective succession plan for the branches
- Ensure regular and effective communication methods/ mechanisms are developed for the retail chain
- Develop a unified management team with clear focus on the business requirements of all functions
- Provide input on performance reviews for branch team members
- Maintain a safe, positive and productive work environment at the branches
- Protect the brand: Identify building maintenance issues, both structural and aesthetic including safety concerns
- Work with the Quality team to develop and ensure compliance of all S.O.Ps
- Work with the audit department to verify loss prevention and procedural audit compliance including audit checking of stock levels.
- Work with the audit and quality departments to respond appropriately to all incidents and investigations
- Support continuous improvement activities throughout the organisation
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and professional requirements of a registered retail pharmacy business.
- Ensure the highest professional standards of counter prescribing and Medicines Protocol implementation in line with legislation and company policy.
- Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers and colleagues in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
- Ensure that you are familiar with, understand and follow all company policies, procedures and standards (Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy and Quality Goals) and ensure all colleagues comply.
- To ensure that prescriptions are processed in line with company policy and legislation.

Qualifications :
- Pharmacist (BSc. Pharmacy) with 5+ years of related experience in retail pharmacy operations or as a Pharmacist Manager.
- Proficiency using Microsoft word, excel, outlook and POS systems.
- Previous experience leading and developing successful teams.
