Position : Production Supervisor – Accra
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality food manufacturing processes at GreenGate Foods. The role involves supervising production staff, monitoring production schedules, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, minimizing downtime, and maintaining productivity targets while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily food production activities to achieve production targets and quality standards.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards including GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitor production lines to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Allocate manpower effectively and manage shift operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and production processes.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper use of raw materials and minimize wastage during production processes.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and inventory usage documentation.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to improve performance and productivity.
- Enforce discipline, workplace safety, and company operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to address equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the factory.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and product quality.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory experience in food production operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
