Position : Finance Manager – Accra

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of managing financial processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:



  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to align with company goals.
    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
    • Lead the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budget Management:
    • Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance against the budget.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to enhance profitability.
    • Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and financial accountability.
  • Accounting & Compliance:
    • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
    • Manage audits and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure the company’s financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
    • Set performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with the CFO and executive team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
