We are looking for a Workshop Manager.
Responsibilities:
Workshop & Maintenance Management

• Plan, develop, and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for the entire fleet to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, repairs, and inspections for all equipment and vehicles.
• Ensure timely diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Oversee major repairs, rebuilds, and servicing of trucks and other heavy vehicles.

Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of mechanics, technicians, and workshop support staff.
• Conduct training sessions for the workshop team to ensure up-to-date knowledge on modern repair techniques and safety protocols.
• Carry out regular performance appraisals; set clear KPIs and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Manage workshop resources including tools, diagnostic equipment, and service machinery.
• Control inventory of spare parts, lubricants, and consumables; ensure adequate stock levels while controlling costs.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and service vendors to ensure the procurement of high-quality parts at competitive prices.

Cost Management

• Prepare, monitor, and control the annual workshop budget, ensuring all operations stay within approved financial limits.
• Track and report maintenance costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.

Compliance 

• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations as required by local and international transport and logistics standards.
• Develop and implement safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workshop.
• Ensure all trucks meet roadworthiness, licensing, and regulatory standards before deployment.

Operational Support

• Provide technical support during emergency vehicle breakdowns, coordinating rapid roadside assistance when necessary.
• Work closely with the Logistics & Transport department to ensure fleet availability in line with operational schedules.
• Liaise with third-party service providers for specialist repairs and services not handled in-house.
