Job Summary
• The Chinese Translator will be responsible for providing accurate written and verbal translation between Chinese and English.
• The role involves facilitating communication, ensuring cultural nuances are understood, and supporting business operations, meetings, and documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide accurate and timely translation of written documents, including business reports, emails, contracts, and other materials.
• Facilitate verbal communication during meetings, conferences, and on-site discussions.
• Ensure cultural nuances are considered to avoid miscommunication or misunderstandings.
• Act as a communication bridge between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and local team members.
• Maintain records of translated documents and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assist in coordinating with external Chinese-speaking partners, clients, or suppliers.
Qualification Required & Experience
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chinese Language, Linguistics, International Relations, or related fields.
• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent speaking, writing, and comprehension skills.
• At least 2 years of experience in translation or interpretation roles, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese and Ghanaian cultural contexts to ensure effective communication.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of translation software is a plus.
