The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service, high customer satisfaction, and efficient workflow. This role focuses on staff management, cost control, process optimisation, and compliance while maintaining the restaurant’s brand standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive performance, improve efficiency, and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Operations Management: Oversee front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen, service, and bar teams.
• Monitor service quality, speed, and guest experience, addressing issues in real-time.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards (local regulations, food safety protocols).
• Manage inventory, supply orders, and vendor relationships to prevent shortages or waste.
• Staff Leadership & Training: Supervise, coach, and motivate servers, hosts, bartenders, chefs, and kitchen staff.
• Develop efficient shift schedules, optimising labor costs while maintaining service levels.
• Customer Experience & Reputation Management: Ensure high guest satisfaction by resolving complaints promptly and maintaining service standards. Develop loyalty programs or engagement strategies to retain customers.
• Process Optimisation & Innovation: Identify bottlenecks in service flow (kitchen delays, slow seating) and implement solutions.
• Introduce technology tools (POS systems, reservation software, kitchen display systems) to improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends (ghost kitchens, automation, sustainability) and recommend adaptations.
